In many areas of northern New Jersey, it was looking like a winter wonderland Sunday morning, after an early January coastal storm dropped as much as 6 to 12 inches of snow on the ground. For most of South Jersey, it was just a cold and rainy morning.
And in Central New Jersey — the traditional battleground area between the snow and rain line in many winter storms — there was a sloppy mess of wet snow, sleet and rain coating streets and yards.
